Seattle & PNW Elopement Photography
Intimate wedding days in the mountains, along the coast, and in wild Pacific Northwest landscapes.
If a traditional wedding doesn’t feel like you, an elopement might.
Whether you’re planning a quiet ceremony at Mount Baker, exchanging vows near Mount Rainier, or simply spending the day together in the mountains — I document intimate elopement day that feel natural, relaxed, and true to you.
Elopements aren’t one-size-fits-all.
Some couples plan a legal ceremony with an officiant and a few guests.
Others choose a private day in nature — just the two of you, exchanging vows somewhere meaningful.
In Washington, that could mean a quiet forest trail, an alpine overlook near Mount Rainier, or a rugged stretch of coastline.
Both are welcome.
Your day can be simple, adventurous, quiet, or bold. The experience comes first.

ADVENTURE-FRIENDLY
You don’t have to choose an easy-access viewpoint if that’s not your style.
If your vision includes hiking to an alpine lake, reaching a mountain overlook, or walking a quiet trail away from crowds — I’m comfortable hiking in with you.
I regularly explore Washington’s trails and can cover elopements that involve moderate hikes (typically up to 5–8 miles round trip, depending on terrain and conditions).
We plan intentionally, safely, and at your comfort level.
Some couples prefer a short scenic walk.
Others want a true mountain adventure.
Both are beautiful.

FAQ

Do you help choose the location?
Yes. I suggest scenic locations around Seattle and throughout Washington depending on the season, accessibility, and the kind of experience you’re looking for, from easy viewpoints to quiet mountain trails.
Can we hike in wedding attire?
Yes, many couples do.
For locations that involve hiking, most couples bring comfortable hiking boots and carry their wedding attire in a backpack. Once we reach the ceremony or photo location, you can change into your dress or suit.
If the trail is short or easy, some couples also hike directly in their outfits with hiking boots.
What if we just want photos and private vows, no official ceremony?
That’s completely fine. Many couples choose to sign the legal paperwork separately and spend their elopement day simply exploring together, exchanging private vows, and celebrating the moment in nature.
Do we need a permit for national parks?
Some locations in Washington require permits for ceremonies or professional photography. I recommend checking the park guidelines early in the planning process, and I’m happy to point you in the right direction.
What happens if the weather changes?
Weather in the Pacific Northwest can change quickly. We plan with flexibility and can adjust timing or choose nearby locations if needed. Often, a little fog or light rain actually creates beautiful atmosphere in the mountains.
What if we’re not experienced hikers?
You don’t need to be experienced hikers to plan an elopement in the mountains.
Some locations involve only a short scenic walk, while others include moderate trails. We can choose a location that fits your comfort level and experience so the day feels exciting, not overwhelming.
The goal is to create a meaningful experience, not to turn the day into a difficult hike.
